20 Gifts to Give Kids when they already have plenty of Stuff

It’s almost Christmas time and your probably telling yourself, my kiddos do NOT need more STUFF! Don’t get me wrong, I still love buying toys and clothes for my kiddos but when family and friends ask what to get my kids I always revert to the feeling that they don’t need more stuff. If you feel like this too, why not ask your family and friends to forgo the gifts and get them one of the “non-toy” gifts we suggested here.

The list comes from my children, Bella & Beckler, when I asked them “What would you like to get for Christmas that isn’t stuff?” They even asked if instead we would give them some of these items instead of more toys!

Let us know what items you would add to this list?!!

Bella has been super excited to be Pippi Longstocking this year for Halloween! We had so much fun making this costume. You can do lots of different variations of this costume, but we tried to stick with the look of the book character.

Pippi Longstocking Braids

You can see us going through lots of trial and error with the braids in the video here! But we finally managed to get Bella’s LONG, LONG, LONG Hair into awesome Pippi Longstocking braids!

Pippi Longstocking Dress

Pippi Longstocking Dress

We used a denim dress that we found at Old Navy and bought some plaid, flannel material (in small bundle) at a craft store. We cut the fabric into squares and sewed in random places on the dress to make it look like patches. Bella also wore a flannel purple long sleeve shirt and leggings (it’s going to be cold Halloween Nights). To top off the look, she wore two different stripped socks and hiking boots.

CAT PRINTABLE HERE Print the Cat Printable on Avery 3279 Dark Fabric Transfer paper (you can pick up at your local Walmart or Target). Then cut out and iron onto a purple sweatshirt. We used a sweatshirt that was oversized so we could tuck it into the sweatpants to get more “LUMPS!”

HATERS BACK OFF PRINTABLE HERE Print the Haters Back Off Printable on Avery 3279 Dark Fabric Transfer paper (you can pick up at your local Walmart or Target). You will have to cut out each letter. TIP – we used a razor and cut the inside of the letter first (like the holes in the “o” and “e” etc). Then cut out each letter and arranged on the back side of a pair of red sweatpants. 3 Make sure to wear clips or bobby pins in your hair and don’t forget the most important part the RED LIPSTICK!! Make sure to put it ALL AROUND your lips and if it gets on your teeth, even better! Then look in the mirror and say, “Hello Miranda!”
